Hello! My name is Suzanne and I founded Cove Cake Design in 2008 after taking a break from my career as a cancer research scientist following the birth of my eldest daughter. Having discovered a passion for baking and cake art during this time, I developed my techniques making cakes for willing friends and family, before establishing my business in 2014. Cove Cake Design has, I am proud to say, since flourished into a thriving boutique home wedding cake design studio, where taste, design and service are upheld in equal measure.
At the heart of Cove Cake Design is a reputation for delicious cake, with my unique and interesting flavour combinations baked with the best of ingredients sure to create a talking point for guests. My love for cake flavours is shared through recipes on my blog, which was recognised with the award of ‘Best Dessert Blog’ at the American Cake Decorating Magazine Awards in New York in 2017. You can be assured that your wedding cake will taste amazing!

Elegant, modern and botanical, my style typically incorporates exquisite details such as bridal lace or gold leaf, and my signature handcrafted sugar flowers. My love for handcrafted sugar flowers has also led me to share my passion and knowledge through widely praised sugar flower masterclasses both in Ireland and abroad.
